It’s no secret that Red Wings are perfect boots for riding, they simply meet any needs you expect for this purpose, especially giving great protection. Pictured below is Daniel, wearing a brandnew pair of 9016’s on his beautiful restored Indian.

It was imported by Daniel five years ago from Las Vegas, here are some details: 1941 Indian Chief, skirted fenders, 1200cc v - twin, complete rebuild and painted in it’s original colour scheme. It’s absolutely reliable, a fact that you don’t see very often on such an old bike. Daniel travelled all over Europe on it, including his kids in a detachable sidecar.

Talking of protection, it’s crucial to choose the right headgear. Together with his wife Caroline, Daniel runs the Hamburg based shop 24Helmets, where you will find a great selection of well - assorted jet-helmets from brands like Andrea Cardone, LS2, DMD - Vintage etc. plus accessoiries like visors, goggles, gloves and bags. 24Helmets will have a stall at Hamburg’s Street Mag Show from May 18. - 19. 2013, so if you are in town, check out their products there and have a look at all the great custom bikes and cars, it’s well worth a visit!
It was one of these days when you think nothing out of the ordinary will happen and all of sudden the store is packed with people. It turns out that all nine of them are part of Nürnberg based band Schleuse, which played a gig last night at Hamburgs Astra Stube. Two pairs came in, three went out:

On the left you see Jan who pulled the trigger on a 9016, next to him his brother Michi presenting the heavy worn version and last but not least Till in a really badass 2992 Engineer.

Here comes another addition to our Handsewn Collection, style 9155. One of Red Wing’s most succesful boot was style 668, a hunt - specific boot that pioneered a line of Red Wing hunt footwear. A popular and stand - out feature of the 668 was its natural rubber crepe sole that deafened noise while walking.

The combination of the unique rubber crepe sole of the popular hunt boots, paired with the classic handsewn leather upper pattern, creates our newest style, made from beautiful Copper Rough & Tough leather.

Heavy duty leather laces are completing the timeless look.

Add a pair of coulor matching socks and you are ready to go!

Ok, sometimes there are moments in life where you need some competition, so we decided to have a little contest between the Berlin and Hamburg Store. The aim is to wear an Iron Ranger for a couple of months and see which evolves better over time. To make it more interesting we choosed two different leathers, Oro - iginal and Black Harness.
Contestant Nr. 1: Kay, representing Berlin, opted for a 8112

fresh out of the box

and the result after 2 weeks

Contestant Nr. 2: Markus, holding up the flag for Hamburg

feels comfortable in a 8114

which is going strong after one week. That’s a slightly disadvantage for Hamburg timewise, but that will make it even more challenging!

We will give our best to show you regular updates on this heavy boot competition!
Part 1 of our Spring / Summer Line up: The handsewn Chukka, crafted by using century - old techniques that have been passed from hand to hand, generation to generation.

Skilled Maine, USA shoemakers fit the leather to the last and hand stitch the pieces together to form the moccasin - shaped upper.

This style of shoemaking is one of the oldest and most traditional methods of constructing shoes. Coming in Charcoal Rough & Tough…

Oro - iginal…

and Amber Harness. Watch out for forthcoming handsewn styles on this site!
A limited supply of the legendary 1907 is available at our Stores in Berlin and Hamburg again! Made from beautiful Copper Rough&Tough Leather, Double Goodyear welted and coming with sturdy Leatherlaces, this iconic Style is an awesome impression of the classic Moc Toe.
